Buffalo Chicken Pizza

Buffalo-Chicken-Pizza

Buffalo Chicken Pizza (makes 1 12-inch pizza)
Ingredients:

  • pizza dough
  • 1 large chicken breast, cooked and shredded
  • 4 Tbs Franks Red Hot Sauce
  • 2 Tbs unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing, or as needed to lightly cover the dough
  • 2 oz blue cheese, crumbled
  • 6 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Cornmeal

I don’t have a pizza stone so I had to modify the original recipe using a baking sheet and a pizza pan. If you have a pizza stone, feel free to use the recipe that is linked below.

Place a baking sheet (one large enough to fit your pizza pan) inside of the oven and preheat to 475F.

In a medium bowl, whisk together hot sauce and butter with a fork. Add chicken and toss.

Next, shape the pizza dough into a 12 inch circle and place it on a pizza pan that is lightly covered in cornmeal. Spread ranch evenly on the pizza dough. Sprinkle half of the blue cheese on top of the ranch. Add buffalo chicken next and then a layer of mozzarella cheese. Top it off with the remaining blue cheese.

Using a hot pad, remove the baking sheet from the oven. Place the pizza pan on the baking sheet and put the whole thing in the oven. Bake for approximately 20 minutes (total guess, I wasn’t watching the time) or until the cheese is browned and the pizza is bubbling.

Let stand for a few minutes before cutting and serving.
